Nature-based mental health therapy in NH
Supporting anxious, overwhelmed, and burnt out adults, including postpartum parents
Who this is for
If you are feeling anxious, burnt out and disconnected from yourself and your life, and you want to feel whole, connected, and grounded again, you are in the right place.
Maybe you are a postpartum mom who can’t sleep because of all the tracking and google searches, and setting boundaries with your in-laws feels like the scariest or most impossible thing ever.
Maybe you are in a season of shifting your spiritual or religious beliefs. This can come with so much anguish, grief, and anxiety.
Maybe your kids are getting older, and your role is shifting, and your whole world is getting rocked.
Maybe you just feel lost and disconnected with the life you’re living.
Maybe you just got a diagnosis for bipolar, BPD, or you’ve been through some complicated trauma that you’re not even sure if it counts as “trauma” but you can’t shake it.
Plein Air Counseling treats adults (18-55ish) of all genders and is a safe place for LGBTQ+
Does this sound like you?
Something big has shifted in my life and I don’t recognize myself anymore.
I’m anxious, on edge, more snippy than normal.
I feel like I can’t get out of bed or get off my phone.
My mind is racing, but nothing is getting done.
I’m not sleeping very well. I don’t feel rested.
I’m pushing people away but I also feel lonely.
This used to be easy or make sense. What’s going on?
People not seen at Plein Air Counseling: anyone experiencing high risk suicidality, self harm, or serious eating disorder; anyone struggling with psychosis or delusions; anyone with narcissistic personality disorder. Plein Air Counseling also does not treat adolescents at this time.
If this sounds familiar, there is hope for you to find yourself again,
so that you feel like a whole human being,
connected to who you are,
the people you care about,
and to the daily work you do.
How do we get there from here?
Therapeutic Approach
We start with building a base of trust between therapist and you (Person-Centered and Relational Therapy). Then, we will explore the current issues at hand, and the story of your life, and how these might be connected (Attachment Theory). We can use parts work to help you reconnect with compassion and empathy for yourself. We can also consider how your habits of thinking and interpreting your life are directly impacting your life (CBT), and learn tools to grow in mindfulness, communication, and coping with small and big emotions (DBT).
When it makes sense, all of this can be in the context of nature-based therapy or ecotherapy. The natural outdoor setting, and use of nature, are a huge part of what sets Plein Air Counseling with Hannah Jalovick apart. Nature has been shown over and over in scientific studies to improve emotional health, cognitive health (focus and creativity), and physical health.
By the end of your time at Plein Air, the hope is that you will feel more connected to yourself, your community, your daily life, and the natural world. Much of our pain and dysfunction arise from disconnection, and Plein Air believes that healing happens in connection.
Meet the therapist
Hannah Jalovick, LCMHC, is licensed to treat folks in the state of NH. She has been in the mental health field for about a decade and licensed since 2025. What keeps her in this work is her delight in each individual’s unique goodness and tenderness, and helping them see and value this as well, so they can learn a new, softer way to move through life and align with their own values.
Hannah has advanced trainings in nature-based counseling, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and DBT.
Hannah is a mom of a preschooler and a baby. Outside of mothering and working, she loves to journal, doodle, water color, walk/hike, read, garden, play violin, and watch Survivor with her husband.
Hannah created Plein Air Counseling in 2026.
What do you mean, nature-based therapy?
My vision is to take therapy outside! Being in nature is grounding and healing in and of itself, and I believe this can aid in the process of doing traditional mental health talk therapy. We can do a walk-and-talk session, or find a quiet spot to sit by some water.
I believe everyone and everything from this earth are connected (we are in the same ecosystem. This is like saying everything in the body is connected), and we are healthier humans when we honor the connection we have with nature.
First sessions will almost always be over telehealth or in-office, and we can assess what makes sense for each person on an individual basis.
